NF Community Day - event changes

We’re having to make some big changes to Community Day this year. This event has been running for 25 years, rain or shine, with the help of dedicated community members, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and Township staff.

Volunteers play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of this event. From planning and organizing, to helping hands on the day, these individuals put the “community” into Community Day. Without an adequate number of volunteers, we can’t safely deliver this event for our community.

Unfortunately, due to a considerable lack in volunteer numbers this year, we’ve made the difficult decision to significantly reduce the size of this event to only the scheduled fireworks display. This means we’ll be removing all other activities, including food trucks, rides, and other entertainment.

The Township is committed to celebrating our community and is exploring alternative ways to have engaging, successful events going forward.

We know this will be disappointing for many of our residents, as many of us look forward to this event each year. We hope that you’ll join us for the fireworks display, as we still wanted to mark the spirit of this day with something everyone can enjoy.
