Effective February 1st, Eagle Disposal's sister company, AJ Blosenski, will be taking over the management of trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup in Uwchlan Township. AJ Blosenski and Eagle Disposal are owned by the parent company Waste Connections, and this change is being made to provide the best possible service to Uwchlan Township. There will be no changes to the trash pickup schedule as part of this process. Uwchlan Township is committed to resolving any reasonable problems with the trash & recycling service; please call our office if you need further help.

Christmas Trees will be picked up as yard waste in the scheduled week of January and February. Trees can also count as the one bulk item for the week.

Uwchlan Township contracts with Eagle Disposal to collect yard waste. There is no limit to the number of biodegradable bags of yard waste allowed. However, small branches, no larger than 4 inches in diameter & 4 feet in length, must be tied into manageable-sized bundles. Tree trunks and large branches will not be taken. Bio degradable paper collection bags must be used. Anything in plastic bags will not be taken. Please note: Yard waste will NOT be collected with trash.
Uwchlan Trash & Recycling Program
All trash and recycling must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your pick-up day regardless of what time the drivers actually come. It is recommended that you put all trash & recycling out the night before. Please note, trash and recycling should NEVER be placed in the street for pickup.
The cans/bags of household waste must weigh no more than fifty (50) pounds each. Trash should not be dumped loosely into a trash can, as it will spill out if the can falls over. Please make sure to enclose all trash in a sealed bag before placing into the trash can. Trash containers should also have a lid. When preparing your recycling, please rinse all food and drink containers thoroughly and remember LIDS and Caps are NOT recyclable. Please refer to the acceptable and non-acceptable recyclables list. In addition to the household waste, you are allowed one bulk item each week.
The Chester County landfill charges $25 per item (starting on 1/1/2020) fordisposal of mattresses and box springs. Those who place mattresses and/or box springs curbside will see that charge on their trash bill. If you place both a mattress and box spring curbside, the charge will be $50. We strongly encourage people to have the company that sells them a new mattress and box spring take their old one. These companies are usually set up to recycle these. Mattresses are difficult to dispose of in the landfill. They take up a lot of space and are not very compressible. *PLEASE call to schedule a pickup 610-363-9450.
Our trash hauler, Eagle Disposal, observes the following holidays. Collection days that fall on or after the holiday will be delayed one day. EXCEPTION: If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there is no change in service prior to or after the holiday. The 2022 trash and recycling calendar can be found here.
