[ARCHIVED] Labelling your yard waste bin

We know there have been issues with yard waste collection this year and wanted to let you know that we’re working with Eagle Disposal to improve this service.

Yard waste stickers

Sometimes, yard waste bins are missed because crews mistake them for trash cans. To help fix this issue, we want to make sure all bins are clearly labelled – just like what we do for recycling bins.

We’re sending out stickers for people to use on their collection bins. Please place the sticker on the front of your bin so that it’s clearly visible to the truck drivers.

What isn’t changing

Paper bags

If you use paper bags for your yard waste, you don’t need to do anything differently. Please continue to place your paper bags curbside on your allocated collection week.

Collection Schedule

The collection schedule for 2023 is staying the same.

We’re also sending out the 2024 Collection Schedule. Please stick it your fridge or noticeboard, but don’t use it until January!

Branches & Foliage

Small branches or foliage that won’t fit in a bag can still be collected. You’ll need to tie these in bundles (up to 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length) and place them curbside on collection day.
