[ARCHIVED] Colombia Gas to Complete Maintenance Work along Struble Trail

Columbia Gas Transmission has begun maintenance work / safety improvements on their pipelines parallel to the Chester County Struble Trail. The limit of work is from the intersection of the Struble Trail and Dowlin Forge Road to the parking lot at the intersection of Dowlin Forge Road and Shelmire Road (roughly 1,400 linear feet +/-). Work will consist the of installation of a new anode line for their cathodic protection system. Work is scheduled to last approximately 2-1/2 weeks (weather depending). Columbia has coordinated with Chester County Parks Department and PA DEP regarding the necessary permits. The trail will remain open for the general public but the parking lot at the intersection of Dowlin Forge Road and Shelmire Road will be closed for a few days during the construction (anticipated week of September 14th but that is subjected to change).
