Uwchlan Township’s celebration of Juneteenth will take place at the Township Building, 715 North Ship Road, Exton. The public is invited to attend.

The program will feature a documentary about William Still, a conductor on the Underground Railroad in Philadelphia, who risked his life to help many slaves escape to Canada, where slavery was illegal.

There also will be a video presentation of Rhiannon Giddens performing a song that she had written about a young female slave’s experience on the auction block.
