Acker Park Basin Retrofit Project to Begin February 21st

The Acker Park Detention Basin Retrofit project in the Marchwood community is scheduled to begin on February 21, 2023. Brightfields, Inc. of Wilmington, Delaware, is the contractor for the project, which will include a retrofit of the existing stormwater management basin to improve water quality within the watershed and reduce the rate of runoff being discharged downstream. Access to the project will be off of the park entrance on Bauman Circle. The bulk of the work is anticipated to take approximately 3 to 4 weeks, weather permitting. The park will remain open during the construction.
