The next Zoning Hearing Board meeting will consider: 

Application of Tilson Infrastructure and AT&T to construct and operate a wireless telecommunications tower consisting of 160 ft in height which requires variances from Chapter 265, Section 601.4 and Section 620.2.e at the property located at Exit 312 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76 commonly referred to as the Downingtown Interchange. Members

The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial body that makes decisions on land use appeals and applications. The Board is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and members serve a 3-year term.

The Zoning Hearing Board:

  • Assures fair and equitable application and administration of the Township zoning ordinance. 
  • Hears appeals from the Zoning Officer’s determinations and grants relief from the enforcement of the zoning ordinance in certain hardship situations by means of a variance.
  • Hears applications for special-use and challenges to the substantive validity of ordinances, as permitted by the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Code (MPC).
